Environmental Field Sampling Technician

South Jersey Water Test, LLC is seeking a dependable and motivated Field Sampling Technician to join our team. This position involves traveling throughout South Jersey to collect drinking water samples from private residences and public water systems.

Previous drinking water or environmental sampling experience is helpful, but not required. South Jersey Water Test will provide training to the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, being out in the field, and interacting with customers rather than spending the entire workday in an office. A company vehicle is provided for all work-related travel and sampling activities.

What You'll Do

As a Field Sampling Technician, you will:

• Travel throughout South Jersey to scheduled sampling locations using a company-provided vehicle
• Collect drinking water samples from private residences and public water systems
• Follow established sampling procedures to ensure samples are collected accurately and properly
• Complete required paperwork and sampling documentation
• Interact professionally and courteously with homeowners, customers, and water-system representatives
• Safely transport collected samples
• Represent South Jersey Water Test in a professional and positive manner while working in the field
• Maintain an organized schedule and work independently throughout the day

Schedule

This is a full-time, hourly position, generally 40 hours per week.

The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Because sampling needs can vary, some days may extend beyond normal business hours, and Saturday work may occasionally be required.

All overtime is paid in accordance with applicable overtime requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Field Sampling Technicians play an important role at South Jersey Water Test. The samples collected by our field staff are used to evaluate drinking water quality for homeowners and public water systems throughout South Jersey. Because of this, dependability, attention to detail, professionalism, and proper sampling practices are extremely important to us.
