Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and HVAC Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid NJ state HVAC license, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and deliver exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Replacement: Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (including ductwork, heat pumps, furnaces, and AC units) according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Maintenance & Inspections: Perform routine preventative maintenance (e.g., cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, replacing filters, testing electrical components) to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and execute timely, high-quality repairs.
- Customer Service: Explain technical issues and repair options clearly to customers, providing upfront recommendations and pricing estimates with professionalism and transparency.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling (EPA guidelines), and local building codes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service calls, maintenance tasks, parts used, and installation details using our digital tracking system.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and valid State HVAC/R Technician License (Master or Journeyman level preferred).
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred) for proper refrigerant handling.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of hands-on field experience in HVAC installation and service.
- Skills:
- Strong reading comprehension for blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, and specialized hand/power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces (crawls spaces, attics), and climb ladders.
