Position Summary:
The Clinical Director will be a dynamic and experienced leader responsible for the oversight of clinical operations, program development, and the supervision of clinical staff within our IOP, OP and PHP programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee shall serve as the Quality Assurance Coordinator of the Facility and have such duties and responsibilities as required of such position as set forth in the Facility’s policies and procedures.
- Employee shall provide counseling services to the clients of the Facility in a manner consistent with the regulations of DMHAS and the New Jersey State Board of Social Work Examiners; keep and maintain (or causing to be maintained) appropriate clinical records relating to all professional services rendered by Employee; prepare and attend to all reports, claims and correspondence necessary to Employee’s employment; and do all things reasonable to maintain and improve Employee’s professional skills.
- Employee shall abide by all rules and regulations established by Facility including, but not limited to, Facility’s compliance plan, client privacy standards, and policies and procedures.
- Employee shall establish a mechanism to include participation of all disciplines in the identification of areas for quality assurance review that affect client care throughout the facility.
- Engage in evaluation of the behavioral and pharmacological approaches to ensure that treatment practices are evidence-based or based on the best objective information to provide treatment services consistent with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care of the type of client served.
- Review of policies, procedures and practices relating to the provision of clinical supervision of staff, including the methods and frequency by which staff receive clinical supervision.
- Evaluation of client care shall be criteria-based, and trigger certain actions when specific, quantified, predetermined levels or outcomes or potential problems are identified.
- Periodic review of client clinical records.
- Evaluation by clients of care and services provided by the program.
- The quality assurance plan shall include at a minimum an annual review of staff qualifications and credentials, and staff orientation and education.
- Participate in the treatment team, staff meetings, development and trainings when appropriate.
- Comply with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences.
- Abide by Renewed Light’s code of ethics and model values
Qualifications:
- NJ LCSW or NJ LPC for three years or more with 25-hour certification for Clinical Supervision
- NJ LCADC for three years or more with 25-hour certification for Clinical Supervision
- CCS, ACS
- Master’s Degree in a recognized mental health discipline/human service as required by N.J.A.C. 10:37E-2.6 (a) 1.
- Five or more years of experience in mental health services with two or more years of supervisory experience as required by N.J.A.C. 10:37E-2.6.
- Devote the time, attention and energy necessary to provide substance abuse counseling services and act as the Clinical Supervisor/Quality Assurance Coordinator/Designee at the Facility in a manner consistent with regulations of the New Jersey Department of Health (“DOH”) and the accepted standards of care and competence of the social work community.
