SUMMARY – The overall purpose of this position is to assist the radiologists with timely exam results and communication to referring providers using RIS (Radiology Information System) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ administrative office

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Radiologist with all studies including hospital studies
- Read, acknowledge and complete communications in PACs
- Communicate and Fax requested reports to physicians
- Communicate results and instructions to hospital personnel from the Radiologist
- Obtain images and reports from Virtua, when needed
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
- Daily computer use
- Answer calls from physician offices
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- All other duties as assigned
- Strong RIS and PACS skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to take direction/instruction from Radiologists
- Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous, tactful manner with patients, coworkers and physicians
- Proficient keyboarding and computer skills
- Understanding of anatomy, medical terms and radiologic studies
- Knowledge of how to operate a copier, fax machine and multi-line telephone
