SUMMARY:
SJ Drug Treatment Center is searching for a qualified Nurse (RN) who has experience with opiate treatment. Suitable candidate would be responsible for the preparation/administration of medication and maintenance of records for SJDTC patients during clinic hours in accordance with NJ State and Federal regulations. We provide medication (Methadone) along with counseling to help our clients recover. Our emphasis on counseling combined with medication helps drive our impressive success rate.
Position part time: 5:00 am to 10:00 am
Salary range depends on certification/degree and experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administer medications to patients and ensure safety compliance
- Count and maintain medication inventory
- Assess patients
- Conduct urine drug screens
- Maintain all paperwork required for regulatory agencies
- Conduct bottle recalls on patients with take-home medication
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Knows and adheres to policy and procedures of SJDTC and the program
QUALIFICATIONS:
A positive attitude and passion for those in recovery from addiction. Willingness to work as part of a team. Flexible schedule required and willingness to work early morning hours. Licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey. Experience with addictions and opiate-addicted patients is preferred. At least one year of detox experience preferred/required. No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program, including negative urine screen. Must have a valid driver's license.
