Pastor/Director of Chapel Students Junior High
Vision: The Pastor/Director of Chapel Students Junior High provides vision and leadership for the 7th–8th grade ministry by caring for students, leaders, and families and helping students take meaningful next steps in their relationship with Jesus. This role partners closely with the Pastor/Director of Chapel Students High School and the Associate Director of Chapel Students to ensure a healthy, aligned, and effective Chapel Students ministry. This individual will be a highly visible leader within Chapel Students, playing a key role in guiding students through a formative and transitional season of their faith.
General Responsibilities:
- Champion and embody the mission of The Bible Chapel—to develop followers of Jesus Christ—and the vision of Chapel Students.
- Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the Junior High (7th–8th grade) student ministry.
- Partner closely with the Pastor/Director of Chapel Students HS and Associate Director of Chapel Students to ensure alignment, clarity, and health across the 7–12 ministry.
- Recruit, train, develop, and shepherd volunteer leaders.
- Create engaging, relational, and Gospel-centered environments.
- Develop and teach biblically sound, age-appropriate content.
- Oversee weekly gatherings, small groups, and special events.
- Plan and execute retreats, camps, and outreach opportunities.
- Invest relationally in students through consistent presence and follow-up.
- Engage and partner with parents through clear communication.
- Follow up with new students and pursue disengaged students.
- Manage ministry schedules and annual budget.
- Foster a healthy, collaborative team culture.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ.
- A disciple-maker with a passion for student ministry.
- Strong leadership and relational skills.
- Agreement with The Bible Chapel Core Values and Beliefs.
- Must be or become a Bible Chapel member within six months.
Spiritual Gifts: Leadership, Shepherding, Teaching, Administration
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of youth ministry experience
Time/Allocation: Full Time, salaried with benefits
Accountability: Pastor/Director of Chapel Students JH is supervised by the Pastor/Director of Chapel Students HS
