Responsibilities
- Coordinate the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for physicians and other medical staff, ensuring all credentials are current and compliant with organizational policies.
- Verify professional licenses, certifications, education, work history, and background information in accordance with NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized credentialing files in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor expiration dates of credentials and proactively initiate renewal processes to prevent lapses in provider eligibility.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance reporting related to medical staff credentials.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, administrative teams, and external agencies to resolve credentialing discrepancies or issues promptly.
