JOB LOCATION : Main Campus

DEPARTMENT: OUTPATIENT NURSING

SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 6-3

POSITION SUMMARY

The PCC has 24 hour accountability for unit function; provides leadership, supports team efforts and promotes cost effective, quality patient care via participation and supervision of personnel and through coordination of unit activities. Possesses strong clinical and leadership skills. Possesses knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to age of patients served. Projects professionalism via actions and attire.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Education/Certification Current nursing licensure in Georgia BSN preferred CPR required.
• Ability to understand and adhere to job responsibilities/limitations
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
• Ability to deal with multiple issues involving abstract and concrete variables
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret pertinent data
• Ability to understand and follow policy and procedures
• Ability to interact diplomatically with patients, families and health care team members

• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and with explosive materials
• Occasionally excessive strength is required to restrain confused or combative patients
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
