JOB LOCATION : Main Campus
DEPARTMENT: MEDICAL RECORDS
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for analyzing medical records for completeness and assigning physician deficiencies for dictations and signatures. Monitors Epic daily to check new patient admissions for the presence of a history and physical report. Updates the Epic system and removes deficiency for history and physicals not completed in the Epic system but in another format. Must maintain 100% productivity on primary job functions. Preps, scans, indexes and abstracts records as needed. Covers in the absence of the Incomplete Chart Coordinator. Responds appropriately to phone and fax in a timely manner. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES High School graduate or equivalent desired, some college level training preferred. At least one year Health Information Management experience required. Knowledge of office information systems, experience with Horizon Patient Folder preferred. Organizational skills essential. Communicate effectively. Work as a team member with peers and other staff members
