Overview
We are seeking friendly, reliable, and professional demeanor for part time in fast-paced outpatient Physical Therapy clinics as a Physical Therapy Assistant. New grads are welcome! This position is open for 2-3 days per week with work days ranging between 8-9 hours. Benefits are available for 24 hours per week. We are closed on nights, weekends, and holidays. Clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7am-5pm and Tuesday/Thursday 8am-6pm.
Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, including manual therapy and trigger point therapy.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities to enhance mobility, strength, and function across various populations such as geriatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.
- Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following medical documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation within inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management.
- Ability to operate medical equipment safely while adhering to clinical protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations.
