Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly and energetic start to their day
- Take accurate breakfast orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
- Upsell menu items including specialty coffees, spirits, wines, and breakfast enhancements to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, serving, and bussing duties
- Clear tables, reset dining areas quickly to accommodate incoming guests, and assist with bussing as needed
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menu offerings including culinary items, wine pairings, spirits experience, and cocktail options to provide expert recommendations
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while multitasking between serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions confidently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail preparation, and fine dining service is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills along with a friendly attitude that promotes guest relations and guest services excellence
