Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nuclear Medicine Technologist role based in Delray Beach, FL. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing nuclear imaging procedures, and ensuring accurate image acquisition and documentation. Daily tasks include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, assessing contraindications, and operating imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The role involves close collaboration with cardiologists and other clinical staff to support diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear cardiology studies, maintaining detailed records, and contributing to quality assurance initiatives. The technologist also monitors radiation exposure, adheres to regulatory requirements, and participates in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Certification and professional standards: current registration or eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent credentials.
  • Technical expertise in nuclear medicine: demonstrated proficiency in Nuclear Medicine procedures and the use of nuclear imaging equipment for cardiac and general studies.
  • Radiation safety and compliance: strong knowledge of Radiation Safety practices, including monitoring exposure, handling radioactive materials, and following state and federal regulations.
  • Radiopharmaceutical handling: experience preparing, administering, and documenting Radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Clinical knowledge in medicine: solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and cardiology-related diagnostic pathways to support accurate imaging and patient care.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications: graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology program; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; strong attention to detail and documentation skills; ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
