Family Services Coordinator 1

South Florida Donor Network (SFDN) is one of 55 federally designated organ recovery agencies in the United States, certified and regulated by the Department of Health and Human Services. As a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, SFDN is dedicated to saving lives through organ donation and transplantation. The network also supports medical advancements by providing organs and tissues for research. SFDN’s mission is to make life-saving transplants possible and improve the quality of life for thousands of individuals and families.

The Family Services Coordinator 1 will provide compassionate and skilled support to families during the organ donation process. Day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating communication with families, offering guidance through decision-making, and coordinating donation services in alignment with policies and procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, FL. The role requires empathy, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach to ensure families receive the best possible care during challenging times.

• Experience in Social Work and Social Services to support and guide families in sensitive situations
• Background in Family Services and Case Management to help coordinate donation processes with empathy and efficiency
• Strong Communication skills to effectively engage with diverse families and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment in Miami, FL
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred
• Experience in healthcare or organ donation services is a plus
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, or on-call shifts as needed
