INTERVENTIONIST JOB GOAL:
Provide targeted small group instruction through “push-in” or “pull-out” models based on student data. Responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
INTERVENTIONIST
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides targeted small-group reading and math instruction based on student learning goals and aligned with MA Curriculum Frameworks student data.
2. Provides universal screeners and diagnostic assessments for students as part of the MTSS process.
3. Analyzes student data to establish student learning targets and goals through the intervention cycle.
4 . Responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
5. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the needs and learning styles of students.
6. Promotes and communicates high standards and expectations for student achievement.
7. Promotes equity and appreciation of diversity and strives to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning.
8. The teacher demonstrates an appreciation for and sensitivity to the diversity among individuals.

10. Works with building principals and the Title I Director to implement the Title I Targeted Assistance/Intervention Program and prepares assessments, plans, and reports, as required. OR....
10. Maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
11. Provides support for the Title I Targeted Assistance/Intervention Program and works with paraprofessionals and classroom teachers in coordinating reading and math support.
12. Shares responsibility for accomplishing the goals and priorities of his/her grade/team/department, building, and school district.
13. Exercises reflection on teaching and education and embraces the concept of continuous learning.
14. Completes any other duty or assignments as directed by the Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with Unit A of the Somerset Teachers’ Association.
