What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional - Title I Summer Program - Elementary (Internal Position) position at South Elementary School?
JOB GOAL:To assist the Title I Summer Tutor and to provide targeted assistance for a Title I students in Reading/English Language Arts and Mathematics during the summer months to assure that the students most at risk of not meeting challenging state academic standards continue to work towards proficiency in reading, and not regress.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works with a students to reinforce learning of reading and math skills.
2. Demonstrates currency in the curriculum.
3. Informs the regular education teachers to any concerns or special information about the students.
4. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about the students as is expected of a fully licensed teacher.
5. Performs related duties as directed by the primary teacher and/or the Title I/ Director of Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability.
REPORTS TO:Title I Director/Director of Curriculum and Assessment
WORK YEAR:The Summer Title I program – July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026
Sessions will run Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at South
Elementary School.
SALARY: In existence with the current Paraprofessional Bargaining Agreement.
