Location: Ooltewah Swim Center
Schedule: Part-Time (Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends)
Position Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and safety-focused Swim Instructors to join our team. Instructors will be responsible for teaching swimmers of various ages and skill levels in a positive, structured, and engaging environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, promoting water safety, and helping others build confidence in the water.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality swim instruction to individuals and small groups
- Follow established lesson plans and skill progressions
- Create a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment
- Evaluate swimmer progress and provide feedback to participants and parents
- Enforce pool rules and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with setup and cleanup of lesson equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families
Qualifications
- Previous swim experience required; teaching or coaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with children of varying ages and abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working in and around water for extended periods
Certifications (Required or Willing to Obtain)
- Lifeguard Certification
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Lifeguard certification courses are available through our facility for candidates who are not yet certified; however, course fees are the responsibility of the employee.
