Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using medical office software.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, appointment reminders, and post-visit follow-up.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and optimal appointment management.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient interactions and clinical notes.
- Support medical administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance claims processing when needed.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone or email professionally, providing clear information about services and procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices is essential.
- Experience providing medical administrative support, including scheduling and record management, is advantageous.
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and multitasking abilities is required.
