What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Scheduler - Call Center position at South Denver Cardiology Associates?

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Management of high-volume diagnostic appointment work queues.
- Schedule outpatient diagnostic testing.
- Rearrange and prioritize schedules to accommodate urgent or STAT patient appointments as needed.
- Respond to internal requests from various departments, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Assist Physicians and staff in placing and transferring calls.
- Assist callers with directions to all office locations.
- Assist in training new or existing team members to ensure consistency in skills, process, and performance standers
- Take messages when required and maintain said records of all communications.
- Follow all established call-handling protocols as provided by the Supervisor
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
- Assist in any additional clerical duties requested by the Supervisor
- Represent our Practice and Facility to referring Physicians, patients and all other callers, in a positive and pleasant manner.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Excellent usage of Multi phone line system and heavy computer use.
- Friendly and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others.
- Flexibility, promptness and desire to be a team player.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Medical office experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to assist with adult patient in emergencies as needed
- · Lifting requirements do not exceed 25 pounds
