What are the responsibilities and job description for the WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR position at South Davis Sewer District?
Perform a variety of entry level technical and skilled duties related to the monitoring and operation of treatment plant equipment and systems to ensure efficient processing of wastewater. Perform preventative scheduled maintenance on pumps, motors, compressors, etc. Collect wastewater samples, calibrate various instrumentation, perform daily plant readings and operations tasks. Rotate between two wastewater treatment plants (12 mgd plant in West Bountiful and 4 mgd plant in North Salt Lake). Experience in the wastewater industry helpful, but not necessary.
High school degree or equivalent. Possess/obtain Wastewater Grade 1 Certification within one year. Possess valid Utah Driver License. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
