South Davis Community Hospital currently has an opening for a full time Registered Nurse. All of our direct care services play an important role in our organization’s mission to bridge a continuation of medical care for pediatric patients with high-quality, proven services, including: Long Term Acute Care, Pediatric LTAC and Pediatric High Acuity Skilled Nursing. ER, ICU or pediatric critical care experience is preferred but not required. Some of the duties are but not limited to:
Observe and record ICU level patient behavior. Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests. Collect patient health history. Communicate and educate patients and their families on treatment plans. Administer medication(s), change wound dressings and care for other treatment options. Read and interpret patient information and make treatment decisions when appropriate. Consult with supervisors, doctors & NP's to decide on the best treatment plan for patients. Direct and supervise all levels of patient cares with the rest of the care team.
Our LTAC unit is accepting applications for a full time licensed Registered Nurse. Join our team and provide care to LTAC patients with a focus on High Acuity LTAC. Our hospital is not affiliated with any of the local or national healthcare chains. Registered Nurse Job Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by the physician.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess and monitor patient's condition, record observations, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including discharge planning to other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- Candidates must posses a current Registered Nurse license in Utah.
- Unit specific certification preferred (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
- 2 years proven experience as a nurse in a clinical setting is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care principles.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make informed decisions in critical situations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
