What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner APRN position at South Davis Community Hospital?
South Davis Community Hospital & Western Peaks Hospital are hiring a full time Nurse Practitioner to work on our campus. The ideal candidate will work with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists and other health care professionals in a hospital setting. Duties include but not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and review of symptoms.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections.
Prescribe medications and other treatments, based on patient needs and in accordance with state regulations.
Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic conditions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Provide case management services to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Minimum Requirements:
Active, unencumbered APRN license in the State of Utah.
Active, unencumbered controlled substances license in the State of Utah.
Current certification in BLS, ACS, ACLS & PALS.
Experience in critical care is preferred.
