The College of Nursing is currently seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for helping others learn and grow to join our team as Program Assistant I. In this role you will serve as a key administrative resource for several areas with the College of Nursing.

This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced administrative and operational support to the Dean’s Office, Population Health Evaluation Center/Office of Nursing Research, and Healthcare Simulation Center.
- Coordinate complex reporting processes and ensure timely, accurate submission of required reports.
- Manage and maintain policies, procedures, and related documentation.
- Oversee data integrity and quality assurance processes to support accreditation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Support accreditation and regulatory compliance activities across multiple areas of the College of Nursing.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and leadership to address operational needs and improve administrative processes.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of initiatives that support the growth and effectiveness of College of Nursing operations.

Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Strong written communication skills, including business writing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
- Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Database management principles and computer systems/software applications, including simulation-related systems and technologies.
Skill & Ability to:
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Provide superior customer service, responding to unique circumstances and route questions.
- Manage confidential information.
- Accurately record, maintain, file, transmit, and research information and data.
- Organize, coordinate, and prioritize multiple activities and projects while meeting competing deadlines.
- Exercise sound judgement, solve problems independently, and formulate logical conclusions based on available information.
- Learn and effectively use computer systems, software applications, and office equipment.
Requirement:
Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
