DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time position primarily responsible for evaluating and monitoring multifamily properties to assure compliance with federal housing program contracts, laws, and regulations. Conduct management and occupancy reviews and audit program documentation on sites throughout South Dakota and in Pierre office. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and help to resolve problems where appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess analytical, financial and negotiating skills and an assertive attitude towards relationship building. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree plus at least two years professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in federal housing programs and/or multifamily property management preferred. Must have ability to communicate professionally and concisely, both orally and in writing. Individuals should be self-starters with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and in teams. Must be able to track and complete work within multiple deadlines in a very time-sensitive environment. Must have valid South Dakota driver’s license and have ability to travel extensively. Access to company vehicle available.
LOCATION: Pierre, SD (Extensive statewide travel required)
STARTING WAGE: Negotiable, minimum starting pay $28.54 per hour.
BENEFITS: SD Housing pays 100 percent of employees health, dental and vision insurance plus a percentage of family coverage. Option for employer contributed Health Savings Account. Additionally, paid family leave, eleven paid holidays, and accrual of 15 vacation and 14 sick days annually. Participation in state retirement plan with SD Housing matching 6% and option to contribute to supplemental retirement.
