FINANCE INTERN
SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
South Dakota Housing is looking for a Finance Intern ready to take on projects and make an impact from day one. This internship provides a balanced mix of hands-on work, structured learning, field exposure and professional development. As our Finance Intern, you’ll get practical knowledge of housing finance programs and mortgage products; gain exposure to affordable housing operations, including lending, compliance and portfolio management; and understand SD Housing’s role in affordable housing finance and community development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicant must be enrolled as a student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
- By the start of the internship, the student should have completed 4 semesters of their chosen program
- Preference give to students majoring in one of the following fields: finance, business, accounting, economics, urban planning, public policy or any other housing related field
- Overnight travel may be required
- Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation
LOCATION: Pierre, SD
STARTING WAGE: $20.00 per hour
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday during business hours. 8-10 weeks | May/June through August
