POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: Finance Officer
Preferred Education: Accounting or Finance Degree with Management Information Systems Minor
Computer Skills: MS Office 365 applications & administration, Quickbooks, Adobe Pro, Access
Reports to: Associate Director
Purpose: Maintains financial accounting records, reviews covenant requirements ensuring compliance with bond transcripts, administration of cloud based applications, cloud based backups and endpoint protection .
Salary: Dependent on experience
Duties of Position:
1. Responsible for daily accounting duties including recording daily operating transactions(deposits/disbursements) including calculating and preparing payroll transactions, making EFTPS deposits, preparing state and federal payroll reports(941, 940, W-2, State Unemployment on a quarterly/annual basis. Calculation of annual service fees, preparation of annual budget.
2. Maintains an Access database of South Dakota School District debt service payments for invoice preparation.
3. Reviews / analyzes borrower bond document covenants and financial documents for compliance.
4. Administrator for Office 365 cloud based applications. Ensures proper authorization to company resources, maintains backups of cloud based information, maintains end point security for data access points.
5. Maintains and edits three web sites. Posts required meeting documents to the State of South Dakota Boards and Commissions site.
6. Ensures the documentation and safekeeping of all transactions and records processed by this position.
7. Preparation of monthly/year-end financial statements and annual reports.
8. Preparation of board documents using Excel, Word, Power Point, and Adobe. Other work as assigned by supervisors.
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $57,220.00 - $85,000.00 per year
