The SD Board of Regents has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as a Program/Fiscal Analyst in Pierre. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. This position serves as a paraprofessional to accounting, budgeting and fiscal professionals. The position also assists program professionals by implementing activities with developed processes; making decisions on behalf of professionals within established work processes related to the program; and interpreting program-specific guidelines to answer questions and advise others on specific issues or matters. Incumbent will perform skilled support tasks involving the application of principles for the purpose of managing accounts payable and procurement operations and related financial transactions; and coordinate projects and program processes for the Finance and Administration department.
Associate’s degree in accounting, economics, financial management or a related field required, bachelor’s degree preferred. One to three years experience as an accounting clerk and general experience with accounting practices is preferred.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Experience with Microsoft Office products and accounting software applications. Strong writing skills for the purpose of preparing accounting reports and meeting materials is also required.
