Job Summary
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining offices and public areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. Areas include offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, corridors, lobbies, stairwells, and entrances.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and post proper safety signage
- Clean offices, restrooms, classrooms, and common areas
- Perform floor care (mopping, buffing, burnishing, carpet cleaning)
- Dust surfaces (high and low) and clean walls
- Maintain custodial equipment and storage areas
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Commercial office janitorial experience (preferred)
- Permanent resident with at least 3 years of U.S. residency
- Ability to pass a Federal Government background check
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Ability to perform repetitive movements, bending, and stooping
- Ability to walk long distances between work areas
- Ability to perform light lifting as needed
