Radiography Program Director Description
South College Asheville is seeking a Radiology Program Director to join the Radiology Department. This position is on ground at the Asheville Campus in Asheville, NC.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversees the structure and daily operation of the program, including organization, administration, periodic review, and evaluation, continued development, and general effectiveness of program curricula.
- Maintain student data and analyze for retention rates, credential pass rate, employer/student surveys.
- Oversee program accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
- Collaborate with the clinical coordinator to ensure adequacy and effectiveness of clinical affiliations
- Maintain program budget and fiscal resources for program administration
- Participate in department activities, including committee meetings, curriculum discussion, student solutions management, and other service activities.
- Provide didactic instruction in the program each quarter
Requirements
Education
- Hold a minimum of a master's degree
Experience
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in radiography
- Minimum of two years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
- Have experience in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising
Certification
- Hold current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Experience with JRCERT accreditation strongly preferred
