The South College School of Physician Assistant Studies program in Nashville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Principal Faculty. The Principal Faculty member is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the Physician Assistant program and the education of its students, and should be team-oriented, highly motivated, and innovative. The PA program has strong administrative support, excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
General Responsibilities
• In conjunction with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education, participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum that conforms with the Program’s mission, goals, and objectives
• Evaluate, revise, and coordinate clinical curriculum and clinical rotations.
• Instruct both clinical and didactic year students, participating as Course Director as directed
• Participate in clinical activities and didactic lab activities throughout the didactic quarters
• Review student evaluations from courses taught
• Participate in the Clinical Curriculum Committee evaluate and develop curriculum
• Develop, maintain, and mentor adjunct instructors
• Participate in committees at the department and college levels
• Provide feedback at the Annual Curriculum Review
• Mentor and advise physician assistant students
• Participate on the Student Progress Committee
• Prepare and track grade sheets for courses as the Course Director
• Participate in scholarly and research activities; maintain CME requirements
• Participate in ongoing Self Study activities

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree
• At least three years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate degree
• At least two years of PA Education experience/Didactic teaching experience preferred
