Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team on construction sites. The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both workers and the public by directing traffic around construction zones. Responsibilities
- Direct traffic flow around construction sites using appropriate hand signals and signage.
- Ensure the safety of workers and pedestrians by maintaining clear communication with team members.
- Monitor and report any hazardous conditions or potential safety issues to supervisors.
- Assist with utility locating and ensure that all necessary precautions are taken during operations.
- Collaborate with heavy equipment operators, including those operating backhoes, dump trucks, and loaders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site.
Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and the public.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required on construction sites.
- A valid driver's license is required for certain positions.
- Bilingual is a plus!
