Position Title: Elementary Activities Coordinator
Schedule: *This is a year round position*
Hours may vary, but candidates must be available Monday through Friday between 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Lunch Supervision: Promote a calm, respectful environment; support self-care and social grace routines.
- Playground/PE Supervision: Facilitate inclusive outdoor games and physical activities, encourage leadership, cooperation, and safe physical expression.
- Misc Classroom Duties: Lunch Break, Curriculum development, various classroom support duties as needed during the afternoon work period.
- Aftercare Program Lead: Independently design and lead age-appropriate activities—crafts, free choice, group games—within a mixed-age (ages 6–12) setting that promotes independence, community, and creativity.
- Monitor student well-being and safety at all times.
- Handle minor conflicts with grace, courtesy, and Montessori-aligned guidance.
- Communicate thoughtfully with colleagues, families, and students.
- Maintain a clean, prepared environment ensuring materials and spaces reflect Montessori attention to order and respect.
Qualifications
- Experience with elementary-aged children in supervised group settings (school, camps, aftercare, etc.), ideally within Montessori or similarly structured environments.
- Comfort managing physical activity and mixed-age groups (6–12).
- Enthusiasm for Montessori principles: fostering independence, choice, responsibility, and community.
- Strong interpersonal communication with children, families, and staff.
- Dependable, professional, and punctual demeanor.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
