Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals on the Noc overnight shift. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism-
- Stay awake and alert throughout the shift
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration, and monitor vital signs
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents or changes in behavior
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Respect and protect client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Implement individualized care plans and support goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of individuals

Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and other team members
- Ability to provide compassionate care while promoting independence and dignity
- Capability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and coworkers
- Understanding of patient care principles and practices
- Familiarity with social work principles and techniques
- Familiarity with Therap Medication Management is beneficial
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is desirable
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial
- Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus
