Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in an adult foster care group home. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our consumers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and physical disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication administration as per care plans and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Monitor vital signs and document as needed.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Also assist and/or instruct consumers with meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing housekeeping duties.
- Engage with clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices as necessary.
- Ability to clearly and concisely document client care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as specialized residential group homes, home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check and physical.
- Shall have a valid driver's license.
- First Aid and CPR certification is required - can be acquired on the job if do not already posess.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or physical disabilities.
- Strong client observation skills with the ability to monitor changes in client behavior or condition effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.40 per hour
