Summer/Substitute Paraprofessional - Per Diem

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ⮚Ability to work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes. ⮚Under the supervision of the Teacher, the duties of the Summer/Substitute Paraprofessional will vary, depending upon assignment but include and not limited to the following: ⮚Fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with SCEC policies ⮚Supervises students both in- and out-of classroom settings ⮚Follows professional practices consistent with SCEC policies in working with students, students’ records, parents/guardians, and colleagues, including maintaining the confidentiality of student and school personnel information. ⮚Performs other related duties as assigned by program administrator(s) in accordance with SCEC policies and practices. ⮚Develop positive relationships with employees and students. ⮚Maintain confidentiality ⮚Other duties as required. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: ⮚Participation in mentoring/ training sessions across Collaborative programs ⮚Opportunities for job mobility: on-going career counseling; training opportunities; degree/ licensure programs; other professional development opportunities. ⮚Certification in CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire and commitment to keep certification current. ⮚Certification in CPI within 30 days of hire and commitment to keep certification current. SALARY: $20 per hour for six to six and a half hours per day as needed.
