Position Description:Perform duties to prepare and execute the shipment and receipt of product, raw materials and supplies. Primary Responsibilities:Load and unload materials from inbound and outbound trucksSchedule dock appointments with customers and third-party carriersVerify condition and quantity of materials being shipped or receivedMove, store, stack and deliver materials and products to designated storage or production areasUpdate inventory system by scanning product in and out of rack and warehouse locationsConduct and complete trailer inspections and documentationOperate material handling equipment Conduct weekly and monthly cycle counts of inventoryConduct on-the-job training of co-workers as neededMaintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsMaintain a safety-minded attitude that supports the Company’s safety culturePerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory/Management Responsibilities:NoneRequirements:Able to speak, read and write EnglishPrior forklift and walker experience Basic math skillsBasic working knowledge of computers and programs related to email and database managementAble to work overtime and weekends as neededValid Driver's LicensePhysical Requirements:Able to lift 50 lbs. daily, approximately 5% of each dayAble to life/move more than 50 lbs. and up to 500 lbs. a few times per monthAble to walk/stand approximately 8 hours per day* This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period.
