Position Description:Performs duties to produce products by monitoring and adjusting production equipment for the oleo line; with a Safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a Safety-culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees. Primary Responsibilities:Produces edible product by following processing requirements according to specification; involves working with high-pressure air and steam linesPrepares and regulates machine for operation by setting and adjusting controlsMaintains documentation by recording product, batch numbers, and yields; charting temperaturesMaintains operational work flow by following procedures; advising supervisor of irregularitiesMaintains specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; requesting maintenance assistance when necessaryCleans oleo machine and decanter after filtering crystallizer which includes emptying drip pans and wiping up any oil that may have spilled out during filtrationMaintains level of bleaching clay in clay hoppers for filtering processAssist Deodorizer Operator with various tasks which includes but is not limited to preparing blends, loading /unloading tank wagons or railcars, cleaning filter press, changing polish filter when needed, and cleaning floors and work areaOperates forkliftEnters production data into various computer programsPerforms other duties as assigned and needed Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:Not Applicable Requirements:High school graduate or equivalentAble to speak, read, and write EnglishBasic math skillsAble to measure accurately in feet and inches using tape measures and rulersBasic working knowledge of computersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and OutlookAble to work a rotating shiftAble to work overtime and weekends as neededPhysical Requirements:Able to lift in excess of 50 poundsAble to tolerate extreme weather conditions; working outsideAble to tolerate excessive walking; stair and ladder climbing; and tolerate heights Training Period:One to three months meeting all above requirements***This position works 12 hour shifts 4 days per week*** This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period. Benefits include: medical, vision and dental as well as 1 week of paid time off after 1 year of employment.
Salary : $18 - $21
