Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes efficiently.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Prepare patients for surgery and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, including medical history, treatment notes.
- Support medical office management by organizing patient records, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office support with a strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
- Knowledge of outpatient clinic workflows.
- Familiarity with pharmacology principles and medication administration protocols.
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or trauma center experience are advantageous.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology fundamentals to support clinical assessments and procedures effectively.
