Facility Maintenance Supervisor

General Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the company’s grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional. The duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations, Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling systems. Conducts preventative maintenance and inspections, and supervises Custodians and Maintenance Technicians to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of South Central Primary Care Center Inc.

Employment Status: Hourly – FSLA Non-Exempt Status

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
• Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
• Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
• Performs basic repairs on plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems. Contacts vendors as necessary.
• Participates in Risk Committee meetings, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
• Performs work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
• Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
• Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
• Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
• Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
• Works in accordance with OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Documents work completed; reports job outcome/supplies used via written and/or verbal communication.
• Submits requisitions for repair/replacement parts as necessary.
• Regular hours/shifts may vary as maintenance coverage needs dictate.
• Performs other job duties as assigned by Management.

• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs on basic plumbing, electrical. and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, documents, and drawings.
• A positive customer-service oriented attitude.
• Self-starter who demonstrates professionalism and can work independently.
• Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
• OSHA and safety training certifications preferred.
• Must have basic hand tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members.

Typical Working Conditions:

• Incumbents require travel to facilities.
• Some work is conducted outdoors.
• Requires daytime traveling.
• Work may be stressful at times and may require occasional evening or weekend work.

Reporting Relationship: HR Manager

Supervisory Relationship: Custodians and Maintenance Technicians

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Georgia Driver's License
• 3 years related experience and/or training
• Must own basic hand tools and appropriate storage for the tools.
• General mechanical knowledge, including A/C, plumbing, and industrial electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read prints, schematics, manuals, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Use of common measurement tools and gauges.
• Basic computer skills, including email and internet.
