Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our dynamic social services team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals with low vision or blindness. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse communities by delivering empathetic case management and crisis intervention with professionalism and enthusiasm. This position will also include transporting clients to medical appointments and shopping. It will also include conducting vision screenings and educational programs for preschoolers and educational programs for first graders in Bedford and Fulton Counties.
Duties
- Conduct thorough client assessments to identify needs related to low vision and blindness.
- Develop personalized care plans for each client.
- Manage case documentation accurately using data entry skills within case management software and Microsoft Office tools
- Conduct vision screenings for preschoolers and educational programs for first graders.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and shopping needs.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain PA and FBI Clearances to work with children
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report writing
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and case management data entry systems and Quickbooks.
- Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations while demonstrating sensitivity and respect
- Experience working with children and adults helpful.
