What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Psychiatric Urgent Care - Covington County - Part Time position at South Central Alabama Mental Health Center?
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is required to provide services to consumers in crisis at our Urgent Care Clinic. Experience working in mental health preferred. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS; and clear background check.
Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent plus successful completion of an LPN program with current Certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing and relevant experience.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide education, training, testing, monitoring, evaluation and updating all MAC/MAS workers and nurses.
- Conducts nursing assessments and duties.
- Administer medications as directed by doctor's orders.
Work Environment:
- Work directly with consumers in our Urgent Care.
- Engage in meaningful and impactful work that makes a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health diagnoses.
ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid AL driver's license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
