Hilton Head Medical Center Hilton Head, South Carolina Full-Time Nights Monday-Thursday 8:30 pm-7:00 am ***$10,000 Sign on Bonus***   Job Description Job Summary Has the ability and knowledge required to provide accurate, reliable laboratory testing within the clinical laboratory department for which the staff members have been trained and demonstrated competency. Must be able to perform routine and complex laboratory analysis under the supervision of a medical technologist. Performs maintenance and all quality control as required according to department specific policies. Ensures all regulatory compliance requirements are met as part of standard operating procedures. All Novant Health team members are responsible for fostering a safe patient environment driven by the principles of "First Do No Harm".   Qualifications Education: Associate Degree in a laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution OR Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training OR Individuals performing high complexity testing on or before April 24, 1995 with a high school diploma or equivalent with documented training may continue to perform testing only on those tests for which training was documented prior to September 1, 1997 OR Individual previously qualified or could have qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992. Associate degree in medical laboratory technology, chemical, physical or biologic science or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician). Experience: MLT I: 6 months to 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred. MLT II: Five (5) years previous experience working as a medical laboratory technician in a clinical laboratory required. Leadership and/or quality management experience is preferred. Licensure/Certification: Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA AMT or CSMLS) is preferred.
