Key Responsibilities Patient Billing & Collections: Collect co-pays, post charges, and assist with patient balance processing to ensure accurate financial records. Charge Entry: Accurately enter charges into the system and maintain up-to-date patient billing information. Patient Communication: Distribute office policies, procedures, and practice information to patients in a clear and professional manner. Patient Portal Enrollment: Guide patients in understanding and enrolling in the practice’s patient portal, promoting better access to health information. Administrative Support: Provide general front-office support, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with patient inquiries. Education & Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED. Preferred: Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or similar coursework in healthcare administration. Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical office setting. Preferred: Prior experience with patient billing and charge entry.
