Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, 7901 Farrow Road, Columbia, SC 29203.
As the Building/Grounds Specialist III, you will perform professional grounds maintenance tasks as assigned on all South Carolina Department of Mental Health campuses.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Minimum And Additional Requirements
State Requirements: A high school diploma and custodial or groundskeeping experience directly related to the area of employment. Valid SC Driver's License.
Additional Comments
The selected candidate must be available to work overtime and weekends when necessary, be on-call to provide emergency services and able to work in weather extremes (heat, cold, snow, ice, rain, etc.). Position is considered essential and may be called back during crisis/disasters/emergencies.
Must be willing to provide ten (10) year driving record if selected for employment.

- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Makes requests of needed supplies or equipment.
- Operates assigned vehicles or equipment in a safe and courteous manner.
