Responsibilities
  • You will process initial, renewal, and/or reinstatement applications for Medical Examiner and Podiatry licensure (via paper, online, and in-person), utilizing applicable databases and software.
  • You will review and evaluate documents and ensures all necessary requirements for licensure are completed.
  • You will assemble, prepare, and scan documents to records system.
  • You will assist with coordinating board and committing meetings, including working with members and preparing materials for review.
  • You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to requests related to Medical Examiners and Podiatry application and licensing processes.
  • You will provide other administrative support services as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
  • MANDATORY: Must be able to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check and be vetted by SLED Criminal Justice Information Services.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
  • Strong customer service.
  • Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and organizational functions.
  • Ability to process meeting notes and minutes.

Other Requirements
  • Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
  • May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
  • May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
