Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma and trades experience related to the area of employment.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma and five (5) years of experience in all phases of construction field with knowledge of South Carolina Procurement Regulations.

- Responsible for construction and renovation of existing and new SCDC facilities.
- Must have an extensive working knowledge of principles and techniques of building codes and reading blueprints.
- Responsible for supervision of an inmate work crew.
- Knowledge of metal building erection and knowledge of forming and pouring of concrete.
- Must have organizational skills.
- Must be able to do cost estimates and material take-offs.
