Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a College Access Manager based in Bronx, NY. The College Access Manager will work closely with youth participants to guide them through the college application and admissions process, including managing application timelines, offering one-on-one counseling, and organizing workshops. The individual will coordinate with schools, families, and mentors to provide resources and support that facilitate students' transition to higher education. Additional responsibilities include tracking program outcomes, managing relationships with colleges, and supporting organizational initiatives to promote college readiness.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in college and career advising, knowledge of college application processes, and skills in one-on-one guidance
- Strong communication, organizational, and program management abilities
- Experience working with youth, particularly in underserved or diverse communities
- Knowledge of educational systems, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with schools, families, and community stakeholders
- Commitment to empowering students and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Relevant experience and/or educational background in counseling, education, or social work preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field is a plus
