Blood drives normally last anywhere from 6 - 8 hours (sometimes longer). This is YOUR opportunity to interact with people of all ages - high school students to retirees, our donors come in all shapes and sizes and they want to meet YOU!!
This position works primarily Monday - Friday with weekend and holiday rotation. Hours have a variable start between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - working mostly 8 hour shifts. We offer a great benefit package and a great group of people who...like you, have the need to help others!
Working as a part of our Remote Blood Drives team at various locations throughout our community, this position is responsible for donor registration, screening and collection with related quality control and record keeping, in compliance with federal guidelines.
Will be a part of a team that transports, sets up, and tears down all necessary equipment. Will register donors in computer system and provide donor care and follow-up when reactions occur. Serves as transport driver as assigned and may be asked to float to a fixed site as needed. Reviews donor histories commensurate with training and ability.
Practical Requirements for this job:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Requires valid driver’s license and possible use of own vehicle
- CPR certification required (we'll pay!)
- Able to lift 50 lbs. (occasionally)
