Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our property management department. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the leasing and marketing of available properties
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants
- Process rental applications and conduct background checks on potential tenants
- Assist with the preparation and execution of lease agreements
- Collect rent payments and handle tenant inquiries or concerns
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors and contractors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting for assigned properties
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs is a plus
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively with tenants, vendors, and contractors
- Knowledge of facilities management principles is desirable
- Sales experience is a plus
