Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide expert recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using TOAST ensuring quick turnaround times
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting stations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Assist with host/hostess duties during busy periods to manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Support food handling, preparation, and sanitation practices to uphold health regulations in the food industry
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife venues such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including TOAST
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or sections seamlessly during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Previous experience in serving roles such as host/hostess or busser is a plus but not required
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for understanding food preparation processes
