Detail Lead

Position Summary

The Detail Lead oversees all detailing operations, ensuring Parts are cleaned & Free of Debris, polished, and prepared to company standards in a timely manner. This role coordinates the work of detail technicians, maintains quality control, and ensures workflow efficiency. Detail Lead also serves as the main point of contact between the detailing team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Coordination

• Assign daily tasks to detail technicians and monitor progress.
• Train new team members on proper detailing techniques and safety procedures.
• Maintain a positive, productive work environment.

2. Quality Control

• Inspect all completed Jobs to ensure they meet company standards before delivery.
• Provide feedback and retraining where necessary.

3. Workflow & Scheduling

• Prioritize work orders based on delivery deadlines and operational needs.
• Coordinate with service, sales, and reconditioning departments for smooth workflow.

4. Equipment & Supplies

• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of detailing tools and chemicals.
• Manage inventory of Details Equipment’s & supplies and place orders as needed.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure team follows OSHA and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

1. Experience

• 2–4 years in Machine Shop detailing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role

2. Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of detailing techniques, tools, and products.
• Time management and organizational abilities.

3. Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with chemicals and cleaning agents.

• Quality rating of finished Products.
• Turnaround time on detailing jobs.
• Team efficiency and attendance.
• Compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Shift

• Day - 9:00AM - 5:35PM
